Our Team
We each bring our own perspectives, experiences, and ways of working to the table. What unites us is a shared commitment to purposeful work, thoughtful care, and creating genuine connections with the people we support.
Dimitra Tzanis, MS, LMHC-D, NCC
Founder & Clinical Director
Dimitra Tzanis, Founder and Clinical Director of Clear Intentions Mental Health Counseling, believes therapy should be a place where you can finally exhale, a space where you don’t need the right words, have everything figured out, or pretend you’re okay.
Dimitra provides a warm, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported. Her approach is trauma-informed and personalized, integrating evidence-based therapies such as CBT and DBT while focusing on the person behind the symptoms. She works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship challenges, overwhelming stress, and life transitions. Together, she helps clients understand patterns, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Dimitra also works with children, adolescents, and families navigating behavioral and emotional challenges, including defiance, mood concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, ADHD, and school-related concerns. She partners with parents to understand what may be behind challenging behaviors and develop practical strategies that strengthen communication, connection, and stability at home.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’ve been carrying everything on your own. You don’t need to know exactly what you need before reaching out. Dimitra will meet you where you are, with compassion and without judgment, and help you take the next step toward feeling more grounded, resilient, connected, and like yourself again.
Ages Served: Children, Adolescents, Adults & Families (Ages 4–70)
Victoria Baquet, LMHC-D
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Victoria believes therapy is most effective when it is grounded in a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship and approached as a collaborative process where each client’s voice, experiences, and goals remain at the center. Whether clients are navigating life transitions, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, or other concerns, Victoria works collaboratively with them to develop and utilize a treatment plan that feels supportive and tailored to their unique needs.
Victoria’s therapeutic experience began in outpatient care, where she worked with individuals across a wide range of ages, diagnoses, and presenting concerns. She has a particular interest in working with teens and young adults experiencing relationship challenges, trauma, anxiety, and OCD. Her approach incorporates evidence-based therapeutic practices while maintaining a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship.
At Clear Intentions Counseling, Victoria provides in-person and virtual individual and couples psychotherapy. She also serves as a clinic supervisor and works as a school counselor, bringing valuable experience from both clinical and educational settings. In her school-based role, Victoria works with children ages 5–18 and their parents, helping families develop skills related to emotional regulation, behavior, communication, and managing big emotions both at home and in school.
Victoria’s goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered as they work toward meaningful growth and lasting change.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Beth offers a safe, grounded space where individuals (18+), couples, and families can explore their stories with curiosity and compassion. She helps clients understand the patterns shaping their relationships and lives while supporting them in creating new, more empowering ways of moving forward.
Beth’s work is rooted in Narrative Therapy, with Gottman, Imago-informed, and Solution-Focused approaches woven throughout her practice. Together with her clients, she explores the experiences that have shaped them while focusing on the possibilities that lie ahead.
Beth specializes in bereavement, life transitions, relationship challenges, addiction, trauma, anxiety, and depression. As a senior therapist, she brings both extensive clinical expertise and meaningful life experience to her work, helping clients feel understood, supported, and capable of meaningful change.
Jacqueline Carbone, MHC-LP
Mental Health Counselor, Limited Permit
Jackie believes that therapy should be a space where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted for who they are. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, and she strives to create a comfortable environment where clients can feel safe being open and honest about what they are experiencing.
Jackie’s goal is not to tell clients how to live their lives, but to support them in understanding themselves, making choices that feel right for them, and building confidence in their ability to navigate life’s challenges. She values meeting clients where they are and believes that seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Whether clients are working through a specific challenge or simply feel that something needs to change, they do not have to figure it all out on their own. Jackie would be honored to be part of that process and support them along the way.
Theo Triadafillopulos
MHC Intern
Theo is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Alfred University, following the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Farmingdale State College.
As a first-generation American raised in a multicultural Greek and Brazilian family, Theo values the diverse backgrounds, identities, and life experiences that each individual brings into the counseling relationship. As a Portuguese speaker, he is passionate about providing culturally responsive and individualized care. He strives to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, respected, supported, and comfortable bringing their authentic selves into the counseling process.
Theo’s interest in counseling has been shaped by experiences shadowing psychologists, working alongside behavior therapists, and conducting research exploring the effects of music on individuals and everyday experiences. His experience as a soccer coach has further strengthened his ability to practice patience, active listening, adaptability, encouragement, and meeting individuals where they are.
As a developing counselor, Theo strives to foster a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and challenges without fear of judgment. He believes that every individual possesses unique strengths, perspectives, and experiences that can serve as important foundations for growth. Through a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship, Theo aims to help clients navigate challenges, build upon their strengths, develop greater self-understanding, and work toward meaningful personal growth.
